We're thrilled to share the exciting advancements we’ve made thanks to the Women Tech EU grant. Our project has taken a deep dive into the world of text generation, specifically tailoring it to fit the precise needs of researchers across various scientific disciplines. Here’s a breakdown of what we’ve achieved and why it matters.
What is Personalized Text Generation?
Imagine writing an email in French when you only speak English, or trying to cook an elaborate dish just by guessing the ingredients. Sounds tough, right? That’s somewhat how researchers feel when they don’t have the right tools to write in the specific language of their field—whether it's particle physics or psychology.
Personalized text generation is like having a smart assistant who is not only fluent in your area of study but also mimics your writing style. This technology uses artificial intelligence to generate text that isn’t just accurate but also tailored specifically to your needs. It helps you express complex ideas clearly and correctly, ensuring that your expertise shines through your writing.
What We Did with the Women Tech EU Grant
Identifying the Need: Our first step was to pinpoint which fields of research could benefit most from our technology. By analyzing data from the last decade, we identified 16 fields that consistently produce a large volume of research. These are areas where our efforts could have a significant impact.
Creating the Tools: To tailor our text-generation models, we gathered vast amounts of text from within these fields. Our team worked hard to ensure these models understand and replicate the unique language and style of each discipline. In total, we fine-tuned different models on 26 specialized datasets, running approximately 120 experiments to refine their accuracy and reliability.
Bringing It to You: The final step was to integrate these sophisticated tools into our website, making them easily accessible. Now, researchers visiting our site can choose their specific field and preferred writing style. Our upgraded system provides suggestions and drafts that feel custom-made, significantly easing the writing process and helping researchers focus more on their groundbreaking work.
Looking Ahead
Thanks to the Women Tech EU grant, we're not just developing technology; we're building bridges across the intricate world of scientific research. We are excited about the future and proud to be at the forefront of this innovative field. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to refine our technology and expand its reach to help more researchers around the world.
